Oh, my goodness... that is too funny!!! I guess all kids are that way! I know mine are... My mom used to say to me all the time when I was little, in a rhyming tone..."Leave me ALONE when I'm on the PHONE." It's funny to think about that now, and I say the same little rhyme to my kids. :)

Exactly! We all took responsibility for our grades and our education... it's not my responsibility to babysit everyone else and make sure that they care as much as I do. We are all adults here!!!!!

Who says there's a 24 hour rule anyway? Um.. no one! Professor said to cut her, and you cut her. No skin off your back. And you communicated well. She's not responsible enough to be making her education a priority, so you shouldn't worry about her. Hope it's smooth sailing from here on out with the rest of the group!

Jack is 2.5... let's see... birthday in December. So that puts him at 21 months? I didn't think he would be ready soon, but then he started to ask to go potty. I quickly seized the opportunity and the next time he started peeing, I said "Jack, you are peeing! Let's do that in the toilet!!!" The combination of interest and his ability to see what I wanted him to do on the potty helped. I say, wait till your son is ready. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to potty train a child that is not ready and/or doesn't want to. Believe me, I've done my fair share of forced potty training :)

That's great! Your post had me cracking up! I just love the "point his peanuts" lol! How old is he, by the way? I'm wondering when I should start on my son. He's 20 months old and I know he's not any where near ready yet. But I was wondering when I should go get him a potty chair.

I have no idea... maybe a couple miles? It's not that convenient to walk, but it's a nice walk. It's right off our walking path, so it's a great walk. However, it's not really a very convenient or fast roubt. It's far faster to drive. :) Alas, I do know that if anything were to happen whereby I would be out of a car, it is possible to walk, we just need extra time.
